Omar Van Opstal is a non-union bilingual voice talent who is fluent in both English and Spanish. Omar’s voice acting abilities can be described as dynamic, spontaneous and versatile.  He grew up entertaining his family with impersonations and seriously considered pursuing a career in voice acting after serving as Communication Coordinator, a media management position, for a nationally known social service agency based in Chicago.

After conducting public service announcements and agency wide tours, Omar was encouraged to pursue voice acting by several television and radio personalities.  One year later, Omar won a voice acting competition, hosted by The Great Voice Company in NYC.  Since then he has been privately coached in voice over technique with Adriana Davis among other seasoned voice actors.

Most recently, Omar has produced television promos, audio books, sizzle reels and corporate videos for a vast array of projects through his in home recording studio.  His voice has been contracted for Vme TV, a national network with an audience of more than 70 million. He was originally contracted for his ability to seamlessly toggle between Spanish and English within one single commercial read. Omar’s mastery of pronunciation and ability to switch between both languages has allowed him to successfully reach an ever-growing bilingual target market. 

Some of the projects that Omar has worked on over the years include television promos for: children’s programs, action, drama, documentaries, culinary programming, travel programming, nature programming and concert promotion. He has also produced corporate and in house sizzle reels to promote products and services before board members and media executives.  On his off time, Omar can be found reading countless books to his children or emceeing special family occasions.
